The image “http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1231/921461733_a2b6079c95.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

Anyone can post.

I have set up Strip Blogging so that any registered members can add posts to the site like a guest blogger. I can see the eyes rolling now but there is an incentive.

Make 100% of the revenue

Any ads you place in the post be it adsense banner or squares, you are completely paid for. It’s your post, you should get paid. Don’t worry about making a post and having the blog owner placing ads in it and collecting the money. I want to make sure you are paid. The ads you place in the post will remain forever. As you can see, I’m not big on advertising here. So I want to make it all about you.

Guest Bloggers Wanted

If you want to get some additional exposure for your blog and make some money online, here is an opportunity. You are able to post any articles related to making money online, blogging tips or related topic.

The A-b-cs of Domain Name Registration

Before registering a domain name, know the facts. domain name registration is easy - finding the
perfect domain name for your personal or business website is not! There are
thousands of possibilities for your domain name, but you can only choose one
domain name for a website. So, you must make it count! Here are some pointers to
get you started with domain name registration. It’s easier than you think.

Keep your domain Name Simple

A domain name should be simple so visitors will remember it easily. What’s
easier to remember - three or four words, or only one or two words? Obviously a
short, simple domain name is easier to remember. The shorter the name, the less
likely people are to misspell it as well. Your goal in choosing a domain name
should be to find one that is easy to remember, easy to spell, and will stand
out in the minds of visitors. It should be related to your products and
services, or personal website theme.

TIP: Avoid using your company name initials or your own name initials. These do
not describe anything at all about your website’s theme. Visitors will not
remember it unless you promote it heavily on national television and all over
the Web. But, we’ll leave that to “Corporate Web” for now!

domain Name Registration Pricing

Don’t be fooled by high domain name registration prices. Whether you pay a cheap
domain name registration fee or a high fee, you’re still getting the same thing
- a domain name! There’s no secret add-on service that can benefit you unless
you’re getting web hosting or a low-cost web site with your domain name.
Otherwise, domain name registration is the same whether you order a cheap domain
name or an expensive one. Be sure to shop around before you register.

Checking domain Name Availability

You can visit almost any web hosting site to check the availability of a domain
name. Never assume a domain name is available just because it doesn’t show
online when you try to bring it up in your browser. If a domain name is not
showing online, it could be that the site’s server is down at the moment, the
owner is still designing a new web site and hasn’t put it online yet, or the
owner might be trying to sell the domain name. When you check to see if the
domain name is available, you do not have to purchase it from the site where you
checked. You can purchase it from any company that offers domain name
registration once you know it is available.

Beware of Expired domain Names

If you are considering buying an expired domain name, do research before
completing the domain name registration process. You could be wasting your
money! Ask the registrar questions about why the domain name has expired, what
type of site it was before expiring, etc. Some expired domain names have been
banned from the search engines all together because they were used by spammers
or those selling illegal products or services. If that were the case, you’d be
better off finding another domain name. Once a site is banned from the search
engines, getting it listed again is almost impossible. Your chances for good,
targeted traffic are next to none.

Web hosting and domain Names

Some companies offer both web hosting and domain name registration. Others might
offer one or the other, or a combined package where you can get a low-cost web
site along with a cheap domain name and web hosting. Though it’s easier to keep
up with billing and expenses if you do all this through one company, you are not
required to host your site with the same company where you register your domain
name. It will not affect how your web site services are handled, or how you
operate your site.

domain name registration can be an easy process once you decide on the right
domain name. Your domain name will be a key player in your online success, so
take your time to choose a winner!

Your Identity - Picking A Domain Name To Register

Perhaps the most poignant scene in Arthur Miller’s play The Crucible happens at the end when the protagonist, John Proctor, refuses to sign his name on a false confession. When asked why he refuses to sign the document, even though it could save his life he cries out in anguish, “Because it is my name. It is the only name I will ever have.” It is a heartfelt and stunning reminder that our identity begins at birth when our parents name us. A web site also depends on its name, which is why choosing a domain name that best represents your site and its purpose is something to be done very carefully indeed.

Choose the right name

When you are ready to start a web site don’t just run to the first registry you can find and type in the first thing you think of. Sit down and do some research about your site and what you hope it will accomplish. What is the goal of your site? What kind of images do you want customers to associate with it? If you could sum up your site in one word, what would that word be? The best domain names tend to be names that are short and easy to remember and something to do with the topic or service your web site provides. If you are going to attempt humor with your domain name, make sure it’s a joke that not just you can understand. Overall, the name should add to the quality of your web site not distract from it.

Check availability

As you’re picking a name for your web site, one of the common things to happen is you find the absolutely most perfect name possible, go to the registry and type in the name in the lookup box and lo and behold - its already taken. Then you have a problem. You’re already sold on the idea, and now it’s not workable. Make sure to have a lookup box from the registry available as you are choosing the name for your domain site so you can check availability instantly. You should also check names that are similar to the domain name you are choosing to make sure there won’t be confusion later on in and your advertising doesn’t accidentally send your customer to someone else’s site.

Pick the right extension

Many registrars will also let you choose the extension along with your domain name. That means that you get to choose whether your domain name will be a.com. or .net .biz or any of the other approved for public use extension names. Be sure to pick one that does not mislead your customers or clientele. If you’re really selling something, choosing an .org which is largely for nonprofit organizations or a .net which is for social networking, may seem like a brilliant way to get people to your site. However, customers know when they’ve been conned and it tends to backfire on the business. Choose the proper extension for what you’re doing and let your site’s integrity sell itself.

What’s in a name? Everything. Careful and thoughtful picking and use of the name for your web site will help keep your enterprise on the top of its game.

Sell Your Domain Name For Profit Or Should You?

These days as a professional domainer I do very little selling. I don’t like to, nor do I need to.

I have come to the conclusion that the longer I hold something the more it is going to be worth. Just look at three-letter .com’s, .net’s, .org’s, .us’s, and .biz’s. There are zero left “out in the wild” to be registered. (Three letter domains I am talking about here, not three-character domains, though all three-character .com’s have been registered as well).

The image “http://communistcable.com/ForSale2.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

These three-letter domains always go for, well, let’s just say much more than the registration fee. regardless of the extension.

As the value of good generic names keeps increasing, there is very little reason to sell your domains names at this stage at the game. Yet, people do. You would do well to learn one thing concerning the domain name market very early:

PATIENCE. If you are eager to spend money then there will be sharks salivating and lining up, happy to take it from you. The point is, that you don’t want to spend money just to spend it, you need to make sure the buys you are making are quality buys.

However, if you do come to a time and place that you want to sell your domain name, you need to keep a few things in mind.

If you are going to make a business out of domains and you are going to open your own company, you need to make enough to pay any taxes that may be incurred. This is a big area of debate and I’m not a tax expert, so consult your tax adviser.

You obviously need to make enough to cover the original purchase price, but you may also need to factor in other expenses such as renewal fees, how much PayPal, escrow fees (sedo or other escrow company) are going to take from you when you make the domain sale.

Can your domain names make more money if you wait a bit longer for a different person who may want this more?

Is there a big enough market to where other people would be willing to buy this name so they had an “edge” on the competition?

Or are you selling to a “reseller”? (a person just as yourself who is buying the name to hold and resell later).

Is it really the “right” time to sell your domain, if you wait will the product/service/etc become more widely known or will the domain bring in more traffic?

Do you really even “need” to sell or do you just want to? You may need money for other ventures, but if you don’t, then what is the point?

Is it an offer that you just cannot refuse?

I have had offers on domain names that I could not refuse before, it’s not common but it happens. I had just registered about 20 .us domain names and shortly thereafter someone got a hold of me and offered $500 off the bat for one of them. Considering that I just registered the domain name, and the mere fact that the .us market has really not picked up, it was probably a good decision to sell. I sold him the domain for $500 total. That sale paid for the purchase of the other 19 .us’s and also the renewal fee for them along with some money to spare.

In a case like the above, unless what you just registered is a true gem, there is probably no reason to decline the offer. But before you sell make sure a transaction will even be worth your time. If the same guy came to me and said he would have given me $40 for the domain name (and that would be as high as he would go), then there would have been very little reason for me to sell.

Remember, your time is worth money too. However, if you are a “time” person, then these are the types of sales you need to target and you need to target them over and over again until you reach a healthy base with domain name parking revenue. Once you become a “money” person, these types of things are not worth your time at all in the slightest. Remember, you want to become a money person as soon as possible.

So if you decide to keep your domain names or not which is completely up to you. Just be sure to make a well thought out decision.

Making Money With Domain Registrar Affiliate Programs

A domain registrar affiliate program can be the perfect addition to your web hosting company site or if you are an Internet Service Provider who is looking for additional ways to monetize your business. Thousands of domain names are being registered every day and new people are signing on to the Internet for the first time ever looking for web hosting solutions and domain names for their business or personal use.

Free domain

Not only can you make money from the registration of a domain, but you can also generate affiliate income from different products and services offered by various domain registrar affiliate programs like web hosting and web site building tools. Many people will register domains and keep renewing them for years to come which will generate you lots of residual income from the domain name renewals.

There are many places that you can go to advertise domain registration services and make money. If you have a web hosting company, you can put a form on your site that will sign up new clients with a domain registered through you. You can place an ad in the local paper and offer your services to local businesses that are looking into getting a website and need a domain name.

The great thing about domain names is that it is a product that will always be in demand and will continue to be for many years to come. The value of domains is increasing because of the demand for a good quality domains. Most of the great .com’s are already gone, but their is still many other extensions that are available for you to register that will grow in value.

Some companies have expanded their domain business quickly by implementing a multi-tier affiliate program which compensates up to five levels deep in commissions like Global Domains International which is responsible for the boom of .ws extensions which is the country code for Western Samoa. This makes it possible for earning both leveraged and residual income. With the decline in the number of available .com’s, many people are turning to alternative extensions like the .ws or now commonly referred to as the “website” domain.

One of the benefits of getting involved with being an affiliate is being able to offer competitive prices in the domain world. Many of the larger registrars charge high prices which can be cut in half when purchasing a domain through a third-party affiliate like your hosting company or ISP.

Domains name registration is very popular and sees no signs of slowing down in the near future. Now is the time to make money with domain registrar affiliate programs and profit from the coming virtual real estate boom.

Earn Trust, Make Sales

So you’ve built a nice website, with good information, fresh and frequently updated content, maybe you’ve registered yourself with great affiliate marketing programs, and you even have many prospects and leads. But you’re not breaking even yet. You might not have made a single sell yet. The fact is that the vast majority of people getting involved in these sorts of Internet ventures fails, and never make a penny.

To make money, you need to be different. If you just put a website and offer the same as all your competitors, you will not succeed.

trust

Your biggest asset is… You. People don’t buy from websites or sales letters, they buy from other people. To start converting prospects, they need to trust you. They probably heard from an offer like yours several times before, and never went forward with it. Why? Because they didn’t believe they would succeed with it. If they did, they would’ve acted on it. Here are a few key ways to transform your prospects into customers:

1) Don’t be scared of the phone. Granted, it takes some time, and doesn’t follow the “I want it to be fully automated” approach, but trust me, it will close you much more sales than your website ever will. Not all leads are willing to provide a phone number, but don’t hesitate to call the ones that do. You don’t need to close them over the phone, but just the fact that they know you are a real person and that they can contact you if they need help greatly increases your trust factor.

2) Personally follow-up with questions. Automated emails, list software and related tools have their purpose and are great at it, but make sure your respond to personalized questions with a personal response. This will score you major trust points, and you will quickly become the go-to person for that prospect. Guess where he will go when he’s ready to buy?

3) Understand and believe in what you sell. This is probably the oldest sales concept, but applies all too well to the Internet business model. There are literally thousands of offers out there, millions of products to promote, make sure you choose ones you are comfortable with. Even better, use them yourself so you can testify about their value and their quality. If you are convinced, you will be convincing.

They are only basics about being successful online. One more tip and I can add is to always be seeking new opportunities. The Internet is constantly changing. Make sure you stay ahead of the pace. It will always pay off.
